Strengthening participation and global citizenship

Citizenship as a right and responsibility is based on the dignity and fundamental rights of all people, beyond nationality. We focus on including and empowering vulnerable groups, with equal opportunities between men and women being essential.

We want to build a citizenship capable of transforming local and global reality, prioritizing the participation of the excluded. Our approach is transversal and sectoral, with specific actions to promote participation and articulate communities. The gender perspective is crucial, we seek equity and horizontal relationships. We work to create more just societies, based on respect for human rights.

Proposals

Volpa

Alboan's proposal to carry out a volunteer experience in the South takes shape in the VOLPA program. It is a joint program with Entreculturas and Alboan accompanies people from Euskadi and Navarra.

Run for a Cause

“Run for a Cause” is the solidarity race co-organized by the NGOs Entreculturas and Alboan. It is celebrated every year in more than a dozen cities in Spain with the aim of raising funds to allocate them to their Cooperation projects.

Loturak

The proposal is to accompany and energize from local reference entities the network of welcoming families and local groups that promote the construction of citizenship in the face of the crisis in Ukraine. Loiolaetxea will participate in this network in D

Community sponsorship

The Community Sponsorship initiative aims to connect local people with the refugee population. This is an invitation to get involved and actively accompany a refugee family or person.

Youth network

The ALBOAN Youth Network in Gazte Sarea is a network of youth groups that carry out volunteer actions and train, act and mobilize around ALBOAN awareness campaigns.
