Crisis in Haiti
1,000 people dead - 350,000 people affected - 300 education centres damaged - 100,000 boys and girls without a school
On October 4th Hurricane Matthew devastated the south-west coast of Haiti. It left behind a trail of death and destruction. So far a thousand people are known to have died, with a further 350,000 affected and thousands of people displaced. Approximately 300 education centres have been seriously damaged and at least another 150 are being used as evacuation shelters throughout the country.
