OUR ROOTS

ALBOAN is a Foundation promoted and backed by the Province of Loyola of the Company of Jesus.

The Province of Loyola possesses a long tradition of international co-operation. Hundreds of Jesuits from this province have dedicated their lives to the service of people from other lands, other cultures, other religions.

Among the organisations of the Province which have contributed most effectively to the fulfilment of this task, one must highlight the role played by the different Mission Secretariats in the last 50 years: the Gujerat Secretariat, Fe y Alegría and Misión in the Far East. These are the roots that feed the tradition in which ALBOAN finds itself.
